A 1-1 draw in Belo Horizonte gave Flamengo the edge at home, where a 2-1 win at the Maracanã sealed a 3-2 aggregate victory.
LDU de Quito 5-4 Mirassol (on penalties, 1-1 agg.)
Two 1-1 draws sent this one to penalties as well, and LDU de Quito converted their way to a 5-4 shootout win over Brazil's Mirassol.
Corinthians 1-0 Rosario Central (agg.)
The tightest tie of the round: a goalless draw in Rosario was settled by a single goal for Corinthians at home in the return leg.
Independiente del Valle 4-1 Deportes Tolima (agg.)
After a narrow 1-0 win away in Ibagué, Independiente del Valle cruised in the return leg, winning 3-1 at home to advance 4-1 on aggregate.
