Palmeiras won their second title at an empty Maracanã in the pandemic-shadowed 2020 final, on a Breno Lopes header against Santos. A year later they beat Flamengo in Montevideo on a Deyverson extra-time goal — the only club ever to beat Flamengo in a Libertadores final.
