Bolívar have played in more Libertadores editions than any other Bolivian club and, in 2023, became the first Bolivian side to reach 100 wins in the competition's history. Their best run came in 2014, reaching the semifinals — helped, as ever, by La Paz's altitude (Estadio Hernando Siles sits over 3,600m above sea level), a historic edge for home sides.
