Atlético Nacional, Colombia's most decorated club, have won 2 Copa Libertadores titles. The first came in 1989 against Paraguay's Olimpia, settled on penalties (5-4) after a 2-2 aggregate draw — the first continental title for a Colombian club. The second followed in 2016 against Independiente del Valle (2-1 on aggregate), the same edition marked by the Chapecoense air disaster ahead of that year's Copa Sudamericana final. Founded in 1947 in Medellín, they did not qualify for the 2026 edition.
