Benfica won back-to-back titles in 1961 and 1962 with Eusébio, the club's all-time top scorer, but have since lost five more finals — a run that gave rise to the legend of the 'curse' of Béla Guttmann: as the story goes, the coach who led them to those first two titles cursed the club after being denied a pay raise, predicting they wouldn't be European champions again for 100 years. They've played at the Estádio da Luz since 2003.
